Description
We are looking to add a TikTok-first media buyer to our growing team at TopGrowthMarketing.com. This role is focused on paid ads via TikTok Ads Manager, but requires a solid understanding of the full TikTok ecosystem — including how TikTok Shop, Seller Center, and organic work — so you can collaborate effectively with our TikTok Shop team.
This is not a TikTok Shop/organic role — that side is handled by a dedicated team member. But you must understand how it works, what's possible vs. not possible on the seller/organic side, and how paid + organic can work together on TikTok.
Qualifications:
- 1+ years running paid ads in TikTok Ads Manager (required)
- Experience with TikTok GMV Max campaigns — knowing when and how to use them
- Strong understanding of the full TikTok ecosystem — the difference between TikTok Ads Manager, TikTok Business Center, TikTok Seller Center, TikTok Shop, and how they interact
- Knows what's possible (and not possible) on the paid ads side so you can have informed conversations with the organic/shop team
- Familiarity with TikTok Shop promotions, affiliate programs, and how they complement paid campaigns (you don't run these — but you need to know they exist and how they work)
- Understanding of TikTok-specific creative performance — what makes content convert on TikTok vs. Meta
- 1+ years managing client accounts
- Strong communication — you'll collaborate closely with our TikTok Shop specialist and creative team
- Understanding of pixels, tracking, and attribution
- Ability to deliver clear creative briefs based on ad performance data
Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize TikTok Ads Manager campaigns (prospecting, retargeting, GMV Max)
- Brief the creative team on what's working — hooks, formats, angles — with TikTok-native insights
- Collaborate with the TikTok Shop/organic team to align paid strategy with promotions, affiliate deals, and seller center activity
- Proactively surface ideas for how paid + TikTok Shop can work together
- Manage client communication and reporting
- Continuously test, optimize, and document learnings
Bonus Points:
- You've worked on or alongside a TikTok Shop team
- You understand how TikTok Shop affiliates work and how paid can amplify creator/affiliate content
- You know Cruva or similar TikTok organic management tools
What to know about this role: We have a dedicated TikTok Shop specialist who handles seller center, product listings, affiliate outreach, and shop setup. The biggest need is someone who speaks the same language — so when they bring ideas from the shop side, you're not starting from zero on how TikTok works. The goal is a real TikTok team that can collaborate and do more together.
